Holding It Together

Frayed. Frazzled. Hanging on by a thread.

We can all relate to those times where one more itty bitty thing may push us right over the edge. Right?

My tipping point is a constantly moving target. It hinges on how other things are going in my life. It depends upon my perspective at the moment. It is directly related to how present my blessings are at the time.

That thing – itty bitty or gigantic – that finally gets us to the edge of sanity, has us grasping and clawing and hoping for stability. For comfort. For reassurance. For grace.

We breathe deeply. We count our blessings. We realize that the world is not ending in this painful, pressure filled moment. We know we are strong enough to overcome. We hold onto the things that matter. The things that make us feel loved and worthy. And we know, that this too shall pass.

Lifting a prayer for the sweet souls that are nearing that tipping point as you read this. The ones who’s pain is piercing through heavy hearts. The ones who are struggling. The ones who’s worthiness is elusive. The ones who have failed and fallen. The ones who are seeking support. The ones who’s nerves are frayed and frazzled. The ones who are feeling overwhelmed and under-appreciated. The ones who always hold it all together no matter how much they are falling apart inside.

You are not alone. You are loved. You are beautiful and capable and resilient. You are enough. And you are going to be okay.

Hold on sweet friends. This frayed and frazzled moment will most surely pass.

As I am lifting a prayer tonight for my sweet friends in need, I am linking up with other writers who have been inspired by the Five Minute Friday prompted topic, “hold”.
