31 Days of Soul Searching – Day 12 {Struggle}

Day 12

Today it has dawned on me that often what we battle in our lives are external circumstances. Even though I have spent most of this series talking about internal challenges, I don’t want to diminish the importance of our external issues.

{Struggle} is something that we all battle.

That push and pull. The recognition that something isn’t right or fair or just and the struggles we have with that.

Certainly we cannot control our external circumstances. Things are going to happen. Things we don’t like and things we would have never chosen for our lives. But yet, they happen. And we are left to deal with the fallout.

Today, I just want to take a moment to acknowledge that struggle, whatever it is for your life. It is real. It can be difficult. It is often uninvited into our lives, but it also is often what makes us who we are.

The important thing to remember about struggle is that it is temporary. That thing, whatever it is, happened. But it doesn’t need to stay.

Today I want to remind you that, “this too shall pass”.

Sharing this quote from Your Beautiful Life that so beautifully illustrates my thoughts on this subject.

Struggle is definitely not a lifestyle. We can all overcome our struggles and today I am wishing you strength and perseverance for whatever your personal struggles are. You are not alone, and you will get through it!
