She is Perfection Wrapped in Contradiction

20130919-212849.jpg

She exudes confidence. She is falling apart inside.

She takes on more than she can accomplish alone. She is too proud to ask for help.

She finds beauty in everyone. She dislikes what she sees in the mirror.

She encourages others and genuinely believes the best in people. She searches for evidence that she matters.

She loves deeply and forgives easily. She has made mistakes that haunt her.

She accepts ownership and responsibility. She crumbles under pressure.

She contributes freely without complaints. She is waiting to feel appreciated.

She begins anew each morning. She ends her day with regrets.

She has the perfect family, job, and hair. She longs for a life like yours.

She takes comfort among her friends. She has thoughts she would never share.

She smiles at strangers. She cries when she’s alone.

She conquers things that life throws her way. She worries if she has an ounce of fight left in her.

She is warm and welcoming with abounding grace. She is the most uncomfortable person in the room.

She is exactly who she is supposed to be. She never quite measures up.

She has enough faith to get through anything. She has doubts that paralyze her.

She is everything to everyone. She is empty.

She is put together perfectly. She is beautifully broken.

She is every woman I have ever met. She is me.

I am linking up with my Five Minute Friday friends to share my thoughts on today’s prompt… SHE.
Blessed by these opportunities to just write for the pure love of it.

Oh, Tris! How did you know me? Thank you for the reminder that we are all beautifully broken and we need to see each other’s brokenness in order to help each other heal. Hugs to you!

Thank you. For writing such truth. We all are contradictions, aren’t we? In some way. Oh, what a blessing that He is never changing, and has grace abounding. ‘She’ is definitely me. And it was beautifully shared. Thank you.

Thank you so much Kelle πŸ™‚ Women are such warriors, yet so vulnerable. I think we sometimes work so hard to mask our weaknesses that we forget they are what we share in common. And the sharing somehow brings strength. Hugs to you!
